What we store
Four things, and nothing else:
- your email address (it's how you sign in),
- your first name, if you chose to give one,
- the facts of your training — what you were shown, what you answered, how you reviewed your own work, and how long things took,
- the photos you upload of your own written work.
We don't ask for your age, your school, your address, or anything we don't need. If we don't need it, we don't collect it.
Where it lives
In our own database, on our own server. There is no sign-in through other companies, no third-party analytics, and none of your data is sent anywhere else.
What we never do
- We never sell your data, to anyone.
- No advertising, and no tracking for advertisers.
- No public rankings or leaderboards — your training is yours.
- We don't watch or judge how honestly you review your own work. The app tells you clearly that its estimates are built on what you declare — and that's the end of it.
Cookies
Two, both boring: one keeps you signed in, one protects forms against forgery. No tracking cookies. Ever.
Deleting your things
Every photo you upload can be deleted by you, whenever you want, from the app — the file is removed from our server, not just hidden.
You can also delete your whole account at account/delete. That removes everything at once: your email, your name, your training history and every photo, files included. The honest detail: our server keeps short-lived backups for disaster recovery, and deleted data disappears from those as they rotate out, within 30 days.
If you're under 18
A parent or guardian should know that you're using Marksmith. That's not a form to sign — it's how we expect the app to be used.
