Privacy Policy
In short
We ask only for your email and, if you like, your first name. We never see your card details: Square handles card payments. We never sell your data, show advertising or use third-party analytics.
What we keep
We use it only to run the app: to sign you in, mark your work, build your plan, keep your balance and email you about your account. We take reasonable steps to keep it secure.
- Your email, to sign you in, and your first name if you give it.
- The answers you hand in: typed text, photos of your own written work (we remove hidden details such as location) and, for typed answers, timing and pasting.
- Your marks, the criteria you met or missed, and which parts of the app you use.
- Your course, exam dates, target mark and any notes you send us about a question.
- Your balance and top-ups (amounts only).
- A display name we give you, and a scrambled code for your device and network, used only to keep the sample questions to one person.
Marking
Mark, our HSC-calibrated AI, marks your answer without your name or email. So don't write your name on the page you photograph. Your answers and photos are never used to train AI models.
Who else sees it
The service we use for marking receives your answers, without your name or email. Brevo sends our emails, so it needs your email address. Square takes card payments.
We use three cookies: to keep you signed in, to protect our forms and to recognise your device for the sample questions. No tracking cookies.
Your rights
To see or correct your information, or to make a complaint, write to us. A parent or guardian of a student under 18 can ask too. We will post any change to this policy here, with its date.
